820 Gin Distillery – Electrical Design & Installation

This exciting project in Lymington, Hampshire, brought us to the heart of the New Forest to deliver the electrical systems for a brand-new gin distillery. From the initial design stage to the final installation, Relay Electrical Services worked closely with the client to ensure all requirements were met with precision and care.
Key works delivered:

• Design of distribution circuits, earthing systems, cable calculations, and loading requirements.
• Installation of energy-efficient lighting for task and ambient areas.
• 3-phase dedicated supplies, sockets, and distribution boards for robust power solutions.
• Setup of a reliable fire alarm system for safety compliance.
• Integration of Wi-Fi networking for seamless connectivity.
• Provision of general power circuits for operational efficiency.

To ensure durability and functionality, we used threaded rod, unit strut, cable trays, and metal conduit for circuit containment and socket drops. In the task areas, Ansell Lighting anti-corrosive fittings were chosen for reliability, while the main bar featured stylish CCT downlighters. Custom copper fittings, supplied by the client, added a sophisticated touch to the bar areas.
For distribution, Eaton 3-phase boards were installed alongside armoured cabling connected to the existing mains, ensuring a robust and compliant system.
